Early Childhood

Child Care Center

The Child Care Center is located on the third floor of the Sanctuary Building, on the same level as the balcony. You can reach the CCC by taking the grand staircase or the elevator to the third floor.

Infants and toddlers are important members of our faith community. We strive to provide a safe place where young children experience the love of God and parents can be freed to attend worship.

Preschool Sundays during all worship services

Our Sunday program is designed to reach children, turning 3-5 years old by Aug 31, 2015, and introduce them to Bible truths that will help them build a strong spiritual foundation. While children attend Preschool Sundays, they will experience the love of Jesus through the care of adult and youth leaders, and large group story telling, games and songs. Weekly take home pages inform parents of what children have learned and provide activities to reinforce concepts at home.

For more information about Preschool Sundays, please contact Lisa Phelps, Director of Early Childhood Ministries.

Child Baptism

In the sacrament of baptism we celebrate God’s gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Infant and child baptism is based on the faith of the parents. Older children and adults are baptized by affirmation of their own faith. Baptisms are held during worship services because the congregation is invited to support and encourage the person being baptized.
Sacrament and Confirmation classes, which include preparation for baptism for older children and youth, are offered each year.

Baptism Classes are offered the first Sunday of each month. The instructor will help you prepare for your child’s baptism and explain our tradition. Child care is available. Please contact Baptism@belpres.org to register for the class.

Please visit us on our baptism page to find out more about our upcoming baptism dates.
