This Spring we are encouraging all married couples to be a part of our 5 Dates series. Beginning April 25, each week you’ll go out on date with your spouse while your kids or students are here at church. 5 Dates is a His and Her Workbook that is designed to help you connect as a couple and create space to have meaningful conversations, just you and your spouse. To learn more about 5 Dates, go to fivedates.co
April 25 Gathering
On Wednesday April 25th we will gather to hear more about 5 Dates from some couples who have gone through it and well as get some basic information as to how it will work within our Spring Wednesday series for you and your family. We will also handout copies of the workbook on this night. 5 Dates will begin the following week on Wednesday May 2nd and run through the rest of the series.
April 25: For 0 yrs-5 Grade Families, we will meet after dinner from 6:45-7:15pm in S-223.
April 25: For 6-12 Grade Families, we will meet from 7:15-7:45pm in UC-325.
We recognize that not all of our parents are currently married or want to be a part of 5 Dates at this time. Knowing this, here are two other options we want to point you to:
1. Under Our Skin – hosted by the Justice & Racial Reconciliation Team
Dates: Wednesdays, April 25 – May 30 (in line with the Elementary Wednesdays Spring Series)
Time: 6:30-8pm | UC-209/210
2. Soul Keeping Study by John Ortberg
If you’d like to be a part of this study, or know others who would, please email Daniel Triller at firstname.lastname@example.org
Will childcare be available?
Families can come and have dinner together and then parents can drop their kids off in their respective places.
Elementary Wednesdays meets in the Community Center from 6:30 to 7:30, with additional gym time to 8:15pm for parents choosing to stay out a little later. No registration required.
What if we can’t make it to dinner?
No worries if you can’t make it to dinner in time or you’d rather do dinner as a family. Simply drop your kid off at 6:30pm when the Elementary Wednesday program begins.
How can I make date night happen in only 1 hour?
We want to honor those families who need to go home and put their kids to bed. Therefore, the Elementary Wednesday program will end at 7:30pm for parents who want to pick their kid up then. For parents, who want to stay out later and enjoy a longer date night, you can pick up your kid as late as 8:15pm.
If you have any other questions, bring them on April 25th and we’ll be sure to answer them then!
