Your work matters to God & God matters to your work.
At BelPres, we are committed to partnering with God to see our culture renewed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. To that end, we are endeavoring to help people discern their role in God’s mission in the world. What Does My Work Matter to God?
Saturday, March 11
9am to 3 pm
Bethany Community Church Greenlake
Many of us spend most of our waking hours at work, and for many, work is a big part of our identity. But, does God care about our work life? Does the Church have anything to contribute to what makes our work meaningful, successful or rewarding?
When what we do and why we do it come together, there is real power. God made us in his image to create and to love, just as he does. Our work is a key part of that.
What if a new perspective on your work gave you more energy, meaning and satisfaction?
Hundreds have been exploring the intersection of faith and work over the last 3 years through the Cascade Fellows program, and have found new meaning, purpose and depth to their work. Come explore the conversation with us at our one-day overview event and see for yourself!
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by clicking this Eventbrite link.
Cascade Fellows Lecture
Our Work & God’s Work: Common Grace for the Common Good
Dr. Steven Garber
Is it possible to know the world and still love the world? Of all the questions we ask about our calling, this is the most difficult. From marriages to international relations, the more we know, the harder it is to love. We become cynics or stoics, protecting our hearts from the implications of what we know. But what if the vision of vocation can be recovered―allowing us to step into the wounds of the world and for love’s sake take up our responsibility for the way the world turns out?
